Media Center IMAC and The Hindi
The voice of the Youth
Team The Hindi: Today’s our youth have a frequent tendency to disregard India/Bharatiya Heritage. Our languages, our culture, food habits and even life choices are moving more and more towards the Western World. To counter the disconnection of today’s youth with India’s core ethics and virtues, Media Centre – IMAC has taken it upon them to bring India’s amazing culture and heritage to the forefront once again.
Media Center IMAC which provides undergraduate and post-graduate diploma courses in TV journalism and mass communication has contributed wholeheartedly to help our venture in bringing “Bharat Sabhyata” back. The Hindi Team went on-campus with the campaign “Hindi Main Hastakshar” where students were encouraged to sign their names in their mother tongue on a board. The event which was a rousing success made several students realize the growing disconnection between them and their culture. The Hindi Team then engaged the students in an Interactive session where the students gave their views about India, its culture, traditions and heritage.
The institute’s Director, Tarun Sharma is of the opinion that, “We are born Indians. That is how we should live our life and instill in our children.” This aligns with our ideals.
The students of the institute have shown their appreciation of The Hindi’s initiative and have contributed their opinions as the voice of the youth by sending write-ups in Hindi and English about India’s glorious civilization, values and ways of life. This opportunity offered by The Hindi, acts as an eye-opener for the students as well as our readers.
We at The Hindi are delighted to have the future of the country bring their sentiments and thoughts, about our country, to the table.
